Tickets for World Athletics Championships!
Michelle Lambkin has four tickets for the World Athletics Championships in Berlin for sale. She had hoped to go herself but will be attending a wedding on the dates involved. The events covered include the 4x100 male and female relays, 4x400 male and female relays, the 1,500m final, Hammer Throw final, marathon finishes and the 5,000m.
The relevant dates are 22nd and 23rd August, which are the final two days of the Championships. The tickets are €75 each.

Leinster Star Awards - Wicklow winners
Congratulations to our Leinster Star award winners; Tara Jameson (Slí Cualann), Ellie Hartnett (Greystones & District) and Jonathan Phillips (Roundwood), who were presented with their awards at a dinner in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow on Friday 9th January. Photos of the presentation of the 2008 Leinster Star Awards winners are available on the Leinster website here.
Wicklow Hill Running
The Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA) Winter League starts on January 16th. Most of the races are reasonably local for Wicklow runners and include: Howth, Ticknock, Annacurra (1st time a run is being held here), Trooperstown and Crone Woods. Share the Dream
We had a fantastic evening of top-class athletic action at the Sport & Recreation Park, Greystones to showcase Olympic-bound Wicklow athletes, Roisin McGettigan & Fionnuala Britton. The rain held off and the wind died down before the main event of the meeting - the 1500m for the elite women. Many thanks to those who supported this event by attending.
