2024 Athletics Wicklow Marathon Championships

2024 will mark the inaugural Athletics Wicklow Marathon Championships, which will be held alongside the National Marathon Championship in Dublin on Sunday, October 27th.

Individual medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) will be awarded in the following age categories;
Senior Men, Senior Women, W35, M35, W40, M40, W45, M45, W50, M50, W55, M55, W60, M60, W65, M65, W70, M70, W75, M75

Team Medals
Three athletes score in each team age category. Scores are based on the sum of the times of the three scoring athletes.
Senior (any age group), WO35 (W35-W75), MO35 (M35-M75), WO50+ (W50-W75), MO50+ (M50-M75)

Please note the following:

If teams are not declared prior to the Marathon, the first three club athletes to finish will be deemed as the senior team irrespective of the age group of individual athletes (any club athlete Woman Senior & W35-W75 or Senior Man & M35-M75)
If teams are not declared prior to the Marathon, the first three eligible athletes for the WO35 or MO35 team age category will be deemed to be the scoring athletes in this age group (any athlete W35-W75 or M35/M75)
Only athletes WO50+ or MO50+ can score in the 50+ categories. If a team is not declared in these team categories, the first three eligible club athletes to finish will be deemed to be the scoring team

Clubs must provide a full list of all athletes competing in the Marathon by the age groups (age on the day of the marathon – 27 October).and bib nos
Team declarations must be provided by Midnight on Friday 25 October, 2024
Team changes after that deadline will not be accepted
Clubs may enter up to two teams by team age category
Any team age category declaration can comprise up to 6 athletes

Declaration Excel File

Clubs MUST provide their individual marathon entries and team declarations using the Excel file provided by our Hon Sec. No other format will be accepted.
