 2024 will mark the inaugural Athletics Wicklow Marathon Championships, which will be held alongside the National Marathon Championship in Dublin on Sunday, October 27th.
 Athletics Wicklow distances for forthcoming cross country season. This applies to races at county level alone.   Parnell Athletics Club returned the victorious club and winners of the club cup trophy as this year’s Athletics Wicklow Off-Road Running Championships, which took place last Saturday morning alongside Glendalough AC and Laragh GFC’s annual Run the Ridge Mountain race fundraiser. A record number of runners from across the county and beyond descended upon the village of Laragh for the 20km, 10k and 3km junior race on offer.
 Registration has opened for the Athletics Wicklow 5km Road Race which will take place on Wednesday, 5th June at 7.15pm.
This event is open to everyone, whether you’re a beginner on your “coach to 5km” journey, looking for a challenge, or a seasoned athlete aiming for a fast 5km. The race which incorporates the Wicklow Road Race Championships promises an exciting evening of activity. If you’ve been lacking motivation lately, it’s time to lace up your shoes and hit the road! The Arklow Rugby Club will serve as the race headquarters, providing parking spaces and a suitable room for the post-race refreshments. The 5km route will start and end at the Arklow Rugby Club. . Members of Athletics Ireland can apply for a Good for Age place in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon from April 15th. These places are reserved for members who have achieved qualifying times within a specified period as agreed between Athletics Ireland and the Dublin Marathon organisers. Results from the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2022 and 2023 can be used to apply. You will require the following information: ● Athletic Ireland Membership Number (ensure you have the exact details on their database as you are using to enter). ● You use the race number from the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2023 to qualify (available on our results page). ● If you use any other Marathon, a link directly to your result. Applications will be made via link on website. Entering the Dublin Marathon 'Good For Age' does not guarantee you a place in the 2024 Irish Life Dublin Marathon- times will be verified and you will be notified if you have been successful  The programme for the Athletics Wicklow Track and Field Championships which takes place on Wednesday 8th May, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May can be viewed using the link below.
