About Us
Athletics Wicklow is the governing body for Athletics in County Wicklow. It is affiliated to the A.A.I which is the sole governing body for all athletics in Ireland and a constituent member of Leinster Athletics, the provincial representative body. The Board organises all championship competitions including track and field, road, trail and cross-country events in the county.
The aim of the Board is to promote all athletics at club and county level for juvenile, junior, senior and master athletes.
Athletics Wicklow is administered by a board of elected volunteer members. The Board consists of a Chairperson, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Public Relation Officer, Registrar, Competition Secretaries and Child Welfare Officer. All members and officers of the Wicklow Athletic Board are elected at the A.G.M which normally takes place in January.
