ATHLETICS WICKLOW B CHAMPIONSHIPS

The upcoming B’ Championship offers a fantastic opportunity for athletes who did not qualify for the National Cross Country Championships to compete at provincial level. This event aims to encourage wider participation and provide valuable race experience in a fair and inclusive environment.

ELIGILBILTY

To maintain the integrity of the B’ Championship, strict eligibility rules apply.

Following a meeting of the County Board in December 2025 a new eligibility criteria was introduced

The Athletics Wicklow Juvenile ‘B’ Cross Country is open to athletes who did not win a medal at the

Athletics Leinster Cross Country Championships in 2025, in any age group – even or uneven

This includes:

· an individual top-12 place medal in any age group

· a medal as a scoring member of a top 3 placed club teams in any age group (4 to score)

· a medal as a scoring member of a top 3 placed county teams in any age group (6 to score)

Ineligible athlete list
A full list of ineligible athletes has been provided. Please ensure these athletes do not compete, as any ineligible participation will result in disqualification. This rule is in place to protect fairness for all competitors.
