​The inaugural Athletics Wicklow Marathon Championships took place in October 2024.

 

It will be held annually in conjunction with the Dublin City Marathon (DCM).

The DCM occurs on the October Bank Holiday weekend each year and is a popular fixture among athletes nationwide.

 

Due to its competitive lottery system, Athletics Wicklow has no control over entry to the DCM.

Athletes must apply through the following means:

Option 1: Lottery System (once entries open)

Option 2: AAI Route (Good for Age) if unsuccessful in the lottery

 

Athletics Wicklow Championship medals will be awarded in the following categories
