Top Performances at Wicklow Juvenile League Round 4

The fourth round of the Athletics Wicklow Juvenile League 2025–26 took place on 14 March 2026 at Coolboy Community Field, hosted by Tomnafinnogue Athletic Club, with hundreds of young athletes from clubs across County Wicklow eagerly taking part.


Athletes from clubs including Lakeshore Striders, St Benedict Inbhear Mór, Kilcoole, Greystones & District, Aughrim and Parnell produced strong performances  in front of an enthusiastic crowd of families and supporters.



Girls’ Events

In the Under-7 200m, Kiva Harte of St Benedict Inbhear Mór claimed victory ahead of Eabha Conway (Aughrim) and Isla Shine (Tomnafinnogue).


Evie Kilroy (St Benedict Inbhear Mór) ran strongly to take first place in the Under-9 400m, finishing ahead of Lucy Reid of Lakeshore Striders and Caoimhe Mulligan from Roundwood & District.


The Under-11 800m saw a dominant display from Greystones & District, who secured the top three places with Alana Barnes finishing first, followed by Olivia Doyle and Bekaa Dorney.

Bray Runners delivered an impressive performance in the Under-13 1,200m, with Julia Beck taking first place and teammate Anna Moloney finishing second.


In the longer distance races, Liadh Fitzmaurice of Roundwood & District won the Under-15 1,600m, while Layla Marie Dixon of Parnell claimed victory in the Under-17 1,600m.



Boys’ Events

Lakeshore Striders’ Kade Egan took first place in the Under-7 200m, ahead of Archer Kelly (St Benedict Inbhear Mór) and Peter O’Neill (Parnell).


In the Under-9 400m, Reggie Querl of Lakeshore Striders secured victory, with Daniel Plewinski (Tomnafinnogue) finishing second and Oran Morris (Aughrim) third.


Ben McNally of Kilcoole led the field in the Under-11 800m, followed by Michael O’Brien of Aughrim and Cormac Bailey, also representing Aughrim.


Parnell had a standout result in the Under-13 1,200m, where Devin Sheehan finished first, ahead of Jake O’Connor (Lakeshore Striders) and Fionn Redmond (Parnell).


In the older age groups, Cillian Bohan of Kilcoole won the Under-15 1,600m, while Eoghán O’Reilly of St Benedict Inbhear Mór topped the podium in the Under-17 1,600m.


League Standings

After four rounds of competition, Lakeshore Striders lead the overall league standings with 637.80 points, followed by St Benedict Inbhear Mór (576.34) and Kilcoole (528.41). Greystones & District and Inbhear Dee round out the top five in a highly competitive league table.


Round 4 once again highlighted the depth of young athletics talent in Wicklow, with strong participation and performances across all age groups. The competition continues to provide a valuable platform for developing athletes as the league progresses toward its final stages.
